A FRIEND IN LONDON – Canadian tour blog of March 9th 2010

Today is Tuesday, and we've just got back from the best weekend in
a very long time, in Fort Erie, with recordings, a taste of how it
must feel to be on The Late Show with David Letterman and then a
couple of great concerts with live streaming on-line, with a lot
of viewers all over the world. The world is getting smaller and
smaller!

We would like to dedicate this blog to our new “bonus family” the
Bradys. We dare say that we've probably met the nicest family in
a very long time!
After a gig in London, Ontario on Thursday night, we took off for
a three our drive to Fort Erie to find the place where we were
going to stay for the weekend while recording and doing shows,
and when we arrived we were met by a man who just as well could
have been Santa Claus himself. The nicest man with the most
pleasant smile, Paul Brady, who showed us where we were going to
sleep. We all slept in the living room on couches and mattresses,
and we got an idea of how Santa Claus snores. LOUD, haha!! Great.
Next day we met the rest of the family: Paul's wife Lori, their two
daughters Lindsay and Brady and their two dogs Harley and Casey.
We were very tired, but woke up to a lovely maternal voice saying:
“Morning boys, rise and shiiine”. Imagine hearing those gentle
words with the smell of freshly brewed coffee all over and the sun
coming in the window.
That was what living at the Bradys' was like, and it means so much
when you are far away from home. Thank you so much for that, we
can't wait to come visit you guys again in the summer :)

Friday we got a taste of what it must be like to be on the Late
Show with David Letterman, when we did an online TV- and radio
show in Fort Erie, called “Ready We're Rolling” in Sessions on the
River Recording Studio w/ Chris Curry. First we did an interview
and afterwards a show in front of a live audience. Everything was
streamed live and the sound was incredible, so we were looking
very much forward to our recording session the next day.
We got to the studio at 10a.m the next morning after having one of
Paul Brady's great omelets along with a lot of coffee. We were
ready and it all went really well. We recorded 3 songs. 2 singles,
“Completely Yours” and “Now You're Here” and then a live recording
of “Bridges and Castles”. So when the mixing of those two singles
is done, we'll post it on our myspace for an exclusive 48 hour
listen! After that we'll put them in our drawer and use them as
part of the pre-production for our début album.

After the recording session we went by Wendy's to get a really
quick dinner, then back to the Bradys' to change and then to the
Max Pub to do the show. It went really well and we sold a lot of
CDs. After the show the owner of the bar, Brian, invited us back
to his place to have a little after party. Brian is Scottish and
full of exciting stories, so it was a night of whisky and
storytelling. Thank you, dear Brian :)

All in all, it was a weekend full of good times along with some of
the nicest people we've met in a long time.
Now we're back in Port Credit, staying at our Canadian rep's place.
We'd also like to give a big thanks to Terry Lane for having us at
her place during this tour. And thanks for minding our business :)
Now we have a lot of administrative work and networking to do.
Canadian Music Week starts tomorrow, and we are doing a show at
the Great Hall, Toronto, friday, March 12th. We are staying in a
suite at the Royal York Hotel, Toronto, while we're there. Good
times.

Sincerely
A FRIEND IN LONDON

A FRIEND IN LONDON – Canadian tour blog, March 2nd 2010

Today, Tuesday, we're sitting at our local coffee shop, 'Second Cup', wearing are computers down. It's 4pm eastern time.

Since we've been doing live shows Saturday and Sunday and a TV interview and performance for ThatChannel.com in down town Toronto yesterday, we can see that
our internet activity needs updating. So that's what we'll be doing for the rest of today! It's a little weird how the internet is taking over more or less.
For now it is working as our label/management. Guess that's where the future is. It would be nice though to spend some more time on the music instead of
being buried in administrative work.

Saturday we drove 119 miles to London, we're we had a gig at the Black Shire Pub. Time was on our side so we got to see a lot of the city. We went to a bar
and met a lot of interesting people. Every time we enter a new place, people are very interested in us, and they buy us beer and stuff like that. They
take their time to listen to our story and the bartenders are more than willing to put our EP on the system. It is nice to feel such a stream of good vibes
from completely new people and it's just a good feeling being on our way to something all the time and meeting new people everyday. It's very exciting and
addictive!

We got home at around 3am, got up at 9am, had our breakfast and drove off to Kingston to do a charity show for Haiti, about 162 miles away, so it was quite
a ride, but we've gotten a lot of new fans and contacts during the weekend. We were home at around 2am and got up again at 10am to drive to Toronto to do
an interview and performance of 3 acoustic tracks for ThatChannel.com, which proved to be a very good experience. We had no idea what was going to happen
before we arrived, but everything was done in a very professional way. Everything happened live so it was pretty much count to three and do it. A little
intimidating, but that's always a good way to get better!

Good news: Details for the premier of our music video “What A Way” are falling in to place. We're keeping it secret until all of the details are in place,
so keep and eye out for our facebook the next couple of days. A lot of things are being posted these days, so stay tuned!

And then a quick shout out to all our followers and supporters out there. THANKS SO MUCH. It's the greatest feeling to wake up and read of all your
comments on our sites. Thanks!

Sincerely

A FRIEND IN LONDON blog from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada!

Monday, feb. 22nd, 12pm

Okay. Now we're here. Now we're going to stand the test. Good
feeling!

Sebastian's guitar has just been delivered from the airport, after
having spent a night extra in London, and now we're sitting here
in our apartment in Port Credit, Mississauga, networking our fingers
off. We've got a lot to do, following up on the interviews and
concerts scheduled for us while we're here. Furthermore we have an
new music video and we need to work out how and where to place it.

We've just been out for a quick walk by Lake Ontario, just next to
our apartment! The sun is shining and there's not a cloud in the
sky. Feels like forever since we've felt the warmth of the sun.

Yesterday, Sunday, we did a photo shoot with photographer Frank
Greco who really did an amazing job. Not only did he shoot a lot
of really cool pictures, he also put a lot of effort into working
with us, and it was nice to see that even though he has been in the
game for so many years and worked with some of the biggest artists
out there, he still finds passion and inspiration in taking pictures
of a rather unknown Danish act. He kept on mentioning that he really
liked our characters, and when time ran out for us he announced that
he would like to do an extra session with us before we head back to
Denmark. We're looking forward to showing you his pictures of us!

For the rest of today we will be networking, letting the Canadian
fans now we're here. Our fingers are itching and we're looking
forward to showing Northern America what A FRIEND IN LONDON is made
of.

The air is filled with spring and good vibes.

Greetings from A FRIEND IN LONDON
