NEWS:

Things have been busy for the band in November:

Tim recorded his solo album 'Far Away From London', consisting of 10 acoustic tracks performed and recorded in front of a live audience.

’Out of Track’ is released on iTunes at this point. We have been writing new songs and they are really coming together, so there will be a lot of new great songs at our forthcoming shows.

We are in the process of finalizing a new music video for our single

"WHAT A WAY" available on You Tube in January 2010.

Guineapig productions, Thank you to Lena and the Crew ~

We have been updating our new profiles and websites around the web, so visit us often. We were featured on the website www.indiesolo.com/afriendinlondon in December 2009.

MUSIC:

In 2010 we will be recording our first full song album. And you can help us raise the money for this, and be in on the fun. You can support our coming album on our sellaband site;

www.sellaband.com/afriendinlondon and read "THE PLAN" to see what's in it for you. Support us, and we will spend a lifetime giving it back, music wise;)

TOURING:

We are so excited that we have been selected by Canadian Music Week 2010 to come play at the festival in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Artist Spotlight Link.

This gives us an opportunity to actually follow up on the huge success we had last summer 2009 playing at the NXNE.09 and also we're adding concerts so we will be touring Canada from Feb.20th – Mar.20th, 2010 (give or take a few days).

Now that we're talking about touring, we are pleased to let you know that a Philippines-Australia-China tour is being planned in April/May 2010 and there's a single release in Asia-Australia in the loop.

We have been in contact with a promoter in JAPAN and are planning our Japanese tour for the end of the May/June 2010.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS ABOUT THE BAND!

Tim Schou (vocal/guitar)

To keep the juices and the creativity flowing, Tim has been recording a live solo album @ Vibe Factory with producer Jakob Winther. It will be released in December on iTUNES, Europe.

Sebastian Vinther (guitar/vocal)

These days spreading the word about your band is a very central part of being in the music business. For the past weeks I've therefore spent some of my time on getting our merchandise site at

http://www.cafepress.com/afriendinlondon up and running. Go check it out and feel free to drop a comment to our community if you're missing anything. We've started focusing our rehearsal sessions on putting together songs for our first album, which I've personally been looking forward to. It's going to be smashing!!

Aske Damm (bass/vocal)

We are working hard trying to get to 50,000 profile views so check out our link at www.myspace.com/afriendinlondon and spread the work to your friends.

Esben Svane (drums/vocal)

In December we'll be playing at 'Lades Kaelder' in the heart of Copenhagen on December 5th around 10 pm. This is where we will be catching up with a lot of our fans and friends of the band. Have a somewhat evaluation on the band, mingle and listen to what they have to say about it.

MERCHANDISE:

On www.cafepress.com/afriendinlondon you can buy

‘A FRIEND IN LONDON’ merch, whether you want to drink your coffee in a ‘A FRIEND IN LONDON’ mug, or you just wanna show your appreciation for the band with a nice

T-'shirt, it is there.

REVIEWS:

BODOG MILLION DOLLAR BATTLE

BodogBattle.net

STENGADE30

Singer songwriter Tim Schou played powerful, commercial songs backed by a great band - all without that layer of commercial-made cheese we’d like to scrape off some top 40 hits.

THE ROCK

Incredible set once again from Tim Schou with pop rock at its very best. Tim and his band are the full package professionals, and at such a young age. The crowd absolutely ate it up. BodogBattle.net)

PUMPEHUSET

Tim Schou could be pop’s next big thing. This young guy looks like Justin Timberlake, is talented, has a great band, is listenable, marketable and radio friendly. We think he should be signed now!

VEGA

Tim Schou was a shoe in to move on to the final round of the European leg of the tour. The crowd was loving every minute of it. Men were jealous and Women were swooning.

Icarus Club - Review April 23th 2009

http://icarusclub.blogspot.com
A Friend In London are an excellent four-piece band from Copenhagen. Two of the band, Tim Schou (who played solo at the Icarus back in December) and Sebastian Vinther, were in the UK for a short tour to play some acoustic versions of the band compositions, five of which they played tonight, "New Grounds", "Remotely Close", "Freddie", "Out Of Track" and "Bring It Forth". They play with great energy and conviction and Tim's soaring voice is perfectly complemented by both his own and Sebastian's excellent guitar playing. You can download a very fine band track, "The Light", and get more info from their myspace which is www.myspace.com/afriendinlondon
