NEWS:


Things have been busy for the band in November:

Tim recorded his solo album 'Far Away From London', consisting of 10 acoustic tracks performed and recorded in front of a live audience.



’Out of Track’ is released on iTunes at this point. We have been writing new songs and they are really coming together, so there will be a lot of new great songs at our forthcoming shows.


We are in the process of finalizing a new music video for our single

"WHAT A WAY" available on You Tube in January 2010.

MUSIC:

In 2010 we will be recording our first full song album. And you can help us raise the money for this, and be in on the fun. You can support our coming album on our sellaband site;

TOURING:


We are so excited that we have been selected by Canadian Music Week 2010 to come play at the festival in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Artist Spotlight Link.


This gives us an opportunity to actually follow up on the huge success we had last summer 2009 playing at the NXNE.09 and also we're adding concerts so we will be touring Canada from Feb.20th – Mar.20th, 2010 (give or take a few days).


Now that we're talking about touring, we are pleased to let you know that a Philippines-Australia-China tour is being planned in April/May 2010 and there's a single release in Asia-Australia in the loop.

We have been in contact with a promoter in JAPAN and are planning our Japanese tour for the end of the May/June 2010.

To keep the juices and the creativity flowing, Tim has been recording a live solo album @ Vibe Factory with producer Jakob Winther. It will be released in December on iTUNES, Europe.





Sebastian Vinther (guitar/vocal)

These days spreading the word about your band is a very central part of being in the music business. For the past weeks I've therefore spent some of my time on getting our merchandise site at

A Friend In London are an excellent four-piece band from Copenhagen. Two of the band, Tim Schou (who played solo at the Icarus back in December) and Sebastian Vinther, were in the UK for a short tour to play some acoustic versions of the band compositions, five of which they played tonight, "New Grounds", "Remotely Close", "Freddie", "Out Of Track" and "Bring It Forth". They play with great energy and conviction and Tim's soaring voice is perfectly complemented by both his own and Sebastian's excellent guitar playing. Newsletter Nov. 3rd 2009

NEWSLETTER Volume 1: Issue 11.

Welcome to the first issue of the ‘A FRIEND IN LONDON Newsletter, that will be sent out once a month.


HARD WORK:
As you may know, we have been working extremely hard and following our new consultants tips to get our music out to the world. We just finished a new music video for our single "The light" available on www.youtube.com/afriendinlondonnet Guineapig productions made this happen! Thank you!
No bad excuses not to catch us on the web!
WE ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE!

We have created a bunch of new profiles and websites around the web, to get more people noticing us. All this hard work has the band being selected for a one day feature on the website www.indiesolo.com and we will be featured on the front page in the next month.


TOURING:
We have also been accepted for eligibility in the Armed Forces Entertainment program, an organization dedicated to bringing USA troops stationed overseas the very best in up-and-coming entertainment. So this means a tour playing on all the military bases. Yehaaaaa! And furthermore, we are so excited that we have been selected by Canadian Music Week 2010 to come play at the festival in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Nelson Madison Films:
There has been a request for A FRIEND IN LONDON to submit their music to a L.A. based movie Company doing the movie "Delivered". Among the company’s productions is the large 5 million dollar format film, N*SYNC 'Bigger Than Live', documenting the pop music mega group, N*SYNC, which made its premiere in Los Angeles and screened at more than fifty IMAX and giant screen theaters worldwide. That should be exciting!

London for vacation and a gig tonight at the rock

We were at it again this morning keeping up the hard work, and with a gig tonight @ The Rock in copenhagen it seems like a good way to end this week.

Next week I will be going to London. I can't wait to come back and continue writing new songs, rehearse with the band etc.

Mission 'Homework'

Things are starting to get serious these days. We're planning an international tour around newyear. All of our pages (Twitter, Facebook, Myspace etc.) are being updated and Esben and I, Tim are working our a*#ses off as we speak.
